Chefchaouen is a city in Morocco with a distinctive blue palette situated in Morocco’s Rif Mountains. It is rich with beauty, history, and architecture. It is most famous for the saturated blue walls surrounding the medina. It is believed the town was painted blue in order to repel the evil eye. It is the perfect escape away from much more intense towns like Fez and Marrakech. Popular activities in Chefchaouen include Waterfalls of Ras El Maa, visiting the Kasbah, Hiking up to the Spanish Mosque for a beautiful sunset view, and simply getting lost in the medina. It is the most beautiful and unique place I have ever visited and I promise you will not be disappointed. Here are some photos to prove why.
